The NAI Fellows Program celebrates academic inventors whose work spans multiple disciplines and exemplifies their collaboration, dedication and innovation to transform research into real-world commercial technologies that contribute to the betterment of society.
Ajay Malshe is an internationally recognized educator, inventor, entrepreneur, and business executive leader. His research focuses on intelligent designs, multifunctional materials, advanced manufacturing, productization and technology scale-up, and implementing technology breakthroughs for commerce and equity.
One application area of his interest and experience is in-space manufacturing, with his research being a part of the autonomous experiments alongside real-time research by crew during the Purdue 1 mission.
Malshe has 40 years of collective professional experience in nanomanufacturing industries as a founder, board member, and officer as well as academia. During this time, he’s received over 20 U.S. and foreign patents for breakthroughs in materials and manufacturing and 40+ awards.
