AI‑powered innovation for safer roads
Luna Lu is redefining the future of infrastructure and energy by developing AI-powered IoT sensor technology that enables communication with infrastructure to understand its condition. Lu is the founder and CEO of startup Wavelogix Inc. which commercialized smart sensor technologies to monitor the health of roads and bridges in real time. As Purdue’s Vice President for Industry Partnerships, Lu is scaling innovations beyond the lab and forging collaborations that will accelerate technology adoption for a safer, stronger infrastructure.
I am deeply honored to be elected as an NAI fellow. Lu’s groundbreaking “smart concrete” technology is moving from the lab to real‑world impact as the Purdue Office of Technology Commercialization applied for the patent to protect the intellectual property and licensed it to her startup Wavelogix.
