Amy Reibman’s research focuses on video analytics for real-world applications where inputs may have substantial quality impairments. She has pioneered a number of methods that allow effective transmission of images and videos over channels where data can be easily lost.

Before coming to Purdue, Reibman spent 23 years as an industrial researcher at AT&T Labs, where she invented, designed, and analyzed solutions for real-world problems like transmitting video between computers. She has been granted more than 60 U.S. patents over her career.
