Deborah Knapp received a $44,656 award from the Trask Innovation Fund for “Detecting Transitional Cell Carcinoma and Leptospirosis in Urine.” While currently focusing on detecting bladder cancer in dogs, the eventual goal is detecting bladder cancer and other disease in people.
If I had a penny for every time someone told me to give up!
